As a voracious reader, with a background in history, modern languages, environmental law, literacy coaching and school governance, and with two (ex-!)teenagers and a husband with varied reading tastes,  Alison has a knack of finding the right book for you!

With a background in journalism and a first novel on its way, Jenny brings the lifelong passion for reading of an English graduate.

Her knowledge of children's books reflects her experience of finding good reads for her own sons. 

As a professional concert cellist and a cello teacher for over 30 years, it seemed obvious that Clare would bring something special to the Barnett’s team - have you seen her window displays?!

Luckily for us, she reads books as much as she reads music!

Jasper, it has to be said, is not a great reader – though he’d be willing to give it a go if it meant he got some attention.

He is a very friendly old dog who is as comfortable in the store room at Barnett’s as he is on his armchair
